The Ashtabula County YMCA is holding its 7th Annual Lighthouse Swim. Swimmers will take off from Walnut Beach in Ashtabula and swim toward the historic Ashtabula Lighthouse and back. There will be a 1 mile course and a 2 mile course. A boat will be stationed at the turn around point. Wetsuits are permissible. Proceeds will go to benefit the YMCA’s aquatics department. Swimmer check in will be 7:30-8:30am. Swimmers will depart at 9am. If you cannot swim a mile in 50 minutes, we kindly ask you not to participate in the second mile.
The event will be held on July 15, 2023 at 9am. Swimmers that are 14 and up are able to participate in this event. Participants ages 14-17 will need a waiver signed by parent and swim instructor. The waiver form can be found at the bottom of the entry form.
Pre-registration fee is $35. Same day registration will be $45. Same day registration table will open at 7:30am *cash only*. T-shirts are included in registration. Register before June 30th to guarantee t-shirt availability.
In the event of bad weather or high waves the make-up date will be Sunday, July 16th at the same time. It will be posted to our YMCA Facebook page, and calls will be made to those who are pre-registered. Click here to register for the 1 mile swim!
