Friday morning January 27th saw the Ashtabula County YMCA kick off its 2023 Annual Support Campaign at the Lakeway Restaurant for its 20 Community Volunteer Campaigners. Dale Nissley, Interim CEO, shared,” No one is turned away from the YMCA due to an inability to pay. That mission statement is a cornerstone for the work of our YMCA for youth, families and adults from all walks of life.” Jane Haines, Chairperson this year for the Annual Support Campaign, noted ,”We had over 1,500 youth and families and seniors from throughout the County who benefitted from assistance to have a Y membership or participate in many programs. The Annual Support Campaign raises the funds each year to provide this assistance.” She added, “in fact, we provided the value of over $191,000 in assistance last year to these youth, families and seniors.”
The Campaign goal this year is $85,000. As the Campaigners received their Campaign packets, they will be calling on community persons to join in contributing financially to reach this goal. The Campaign will run through March 31. The Volunteer Campaigners will be encouraging donors to join us at the Chairman’s Round Table level of $1,000 or more. Anyone interested in joining this Annual Campaign with a contribution can stop by the Ashtabula County YMCA at any time, or online donations can be made by clicking here.
